Zawawi was rescued by a kind lady after he was very badly beaten by a man in the street. She gave him shelter at her workplace but he cannot live there forever. The lady told us that because he is a large dog weighing around 30kg people were scared of him on the street and he was always subject to their violence.
After taking refuge in the workshop Zawawi no longer wanted to be on the streets. He was frightened to go out there. He also doesn’t like the extreme heat in Egypt. She believes he would love a comfortable home to call his own.
He is good with the street dogs and cats.
Zawawi has lived in boarding for more than 2 years and has proven himself to be a wonderful sociable dog.

Zawawi has been renamed Archie and is due to arrive in the UK March 2026 into foster. Meet and greets in Brentwood, Essex.
Type of Home Needed
A loving home, happy to adopt an ex street dog, that will need time to adjust and find his feet. A home willing to put the work into basic training and life skills with a dog.
