Grandpa was found on the highway in a very flat and depressed state.  He was exhausted.  He was taken to a shelter and given some TLC and has really come back to health well.

He is estimated to be very much senior (10-12 years old) but since he is feeling better, he has a good deal of energy and loves to play.

He is great with other dogs and people of all kinds.  There have been no reported behaviour issues with him at all.

He is non reactive and walks well on a lead.

He loves to play ball and knows some basic cues, it seems he has had an owner at some point in the past.

His rescuer describes him as “perfect with people and very tolerant of all kinds of dogs.” Grandpa is the dog who will de escalate if another dog is over stimulated or being a bit much.

Grandpa would make a lovely family pet.  He is not cat tested.

He is neutered and weighs around 28kg

He is in good health.

A loving home, happy to adopt a dog, that will need time to adjust and find his feet.  A home willing to put the work into basic training and life skills with a dog.
