About
Rescue Story in brief as told by his rescuers:
Cookie spent most of his life surviving on the streets of Dubai, navigating a harsh environment where he had to fight daily just to stay alive. At some point during his street life, he tragically lost his tail under unknown circumstances.
He was later found by the roadside unable to move. Vets suspected he had been hit by a vehicle, resulting in soft tissue or nerve damage to his hind leg. Despite everything he had been through, Cookie remained gentle and trusting, showing a soft and affectionate nature even in pain.
He has been in foster and boarding care since March, where he has finally been safe indoors and able to begin proper recovery. Since rescue, Cookie has received ongoing veterinary care and has made a full recovery.
Health or disability:
He lost his tail, although we’re unsure how it happened. He appeared to be doing well until about six months ago, when I found him by the roadside unable to move. He received four Arthophen injections for pain management, the last administered in June 26, and has not shown any signs of pain or discomfort since then.
Temperament details – Very affectionate and people-oriented and thrives on human companionship and forms strong bonds with his caregivers.
He is very cuddly and actively seeks out affection and closeness with his humans whenever possible. He is playful and enjoys interactive toys such as strings and wand toys. He is also a bit chatty and enjoys vocal interaction with people. He has shown positive behaviour towards other cats although he has not yet been tested with dogs or children.
