Rescue Story in brief :
She survived the unimaginable. Now she just needs someone to give her a chance.
Chai was rescued on January 31, 2026, after being run over two days earlier outside a labour camp. The laborers who found her could not afford the veterinary care she urgently needed, but they did not turn away. They kept her safe inside their labour camp, protecting her while she lay injured, waiting for help.
They knew of a rescuer who regularly fed cats in the area. When they finally saw her, they approached her and asked if she could help the injured cat. That moment is what changed Chai’s fate.
She was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic where X-rays revealed the severity of her injuries. Chai had a broken spine. During her examination, it was also discovered that she was suffering from severely rotting teeth, which must have caused her significant pain long before the accident.
Her journey became even more difficult when she tested positive for parvovirus. Her spinal surgery had to be delayed for approximately fifteen days while she fought the infection. She survived. Once she was strong enough, she underwent spinal surgery along with dental treatment.
Since then, she has been undergoing physiotherapy. Unfortunately, she has not regained her mobility. Despite everything she has endured, Chai remains incredibly loving. She seeks attention, enjoys being close to people, and responds with gentle affection. Her spirit remains soft and hopeful.
Chai is now fully vaccinated and ready for a forever home.
She needs a compassionate family who understands the care required for a special needs cat, including bladder expression, and who will give her the love and dignity she deserves. Cats like Chai are extremely difficult to place locally, yet she deserves more than a life confined to a cage.
The rescuer is willing to arrange relocation anywhere in the world at their own expense so that Chai can finally experience a loving home where she can thrive with a family.
