A Match Made in Heaven — Cici & Pip

Meet Cici (1.5 years old) and Pip (9 months old) — two beautiful Arabian Maus whose hearts and lives are forever intertwined.

Cici was found on the streets of Kuwait, unable to walk properly. She was constantly falling over and had no balance at all. It turned out she had a severe ear infection and a painful polyp deep inside her ear. After surgery to remove the polyp, her balance has improved so much and at times we’re worried if she would be able to walk again. Now she can move around with confidence.

Who knows what would have happened to Cici if she hadn’t been taken in — there’s no doubt she wouldn’t have survived out there on her own.

Cici is almost completely deaf and partially sighted, and though still a little wobbly, she gets stronger every day. Despite everything she’s endured, she remains one of the most loving and gentle souls you could ever meet. She adores lying close to her human and will cry if she can’t find you just wanting to be near to someone who loves her back.

One morning, as if by fate, Pip appeared. Just 4 weeks old, this tiny kitten turned up at Cici’s rescuer’s door — out of nowhere. It truly felt like a guardian angel had sent him for Cici.

At first, Pip was kept isolated until he was fully vaccinated as Cici was vulnerable. But when he was finally introduced to Cici, it was love at first sight. From that day on, they became inseparable. Pip was the friend she always needed.

There have been opportunities for them to be adopted, but separating them simply isn’t an option — their bond is too strong. This is why the wait has been longer as the right home needs to be found.  Cici wouldn’t cope without Pip; she becomes anxious and lost when he’s not around. Even when Pip goes to the vet, she waits and cries until he’s back by her side. He’s her comfort, her calm, and her little guardian angel.

Together, they’re a beautiful reminder that love truly heals. Two souls who found each other against all odds — a match made in heaven.
