Ollie (injured back leg) – Looking for an adopter

2 years approx

Current Location

UK- currently fostered in Kingston Upon Thames

Country to Adopt to

Ollie is suspected to have been hit by a car as a young puppy which broke his back right leg.

He walks with a limp currently and is mostly non weight bearing on it.

He is due to be assessed in February 2023.

He is currently fostered and has taken a little while to find his feet since arriving in December 22.

He is a little fearful of men and will mostly avoid them if he can.

He does very well with women.  Once you have his trust he is very loving and affectionate.  He is also very puppy like and playful.  He loves his toys and a zoom around the garden.

He has lived with dogs in Egypt but is not yet tested with dogs since arriving in foster.  He has seen the resident cat and barked at it.

Ollie will need a patient family willing to put the time in to bond with him, he is not a ready made family dog having lived on the streets and then in a shelter his whole life.

He is still getting to understand domestic life.

He is likely to be ready for adoption in the summer of 2023 after any treatments or surgery for his leg and we would like someone to come and meet him as many times as possible before deciding to adopt him.

Type of Home Needed

A loving home happy to adopt a dog who walks differently and may need rehab after any surgery in 2023.  A home with patient people willing to give him the time he needs to find his feet.
